I have been updating shower stalls with tile surround above and down the sides. It makes it more sophisticated, modern and finished feeling. The husband wasn't sure if it was worth it when I suggested it to he and his wife. When I was done, he was so glad I did it. He feels it elevated the rooms value and aesthetic. It was worth the cost and took me a day to start and finish. A long day. I had done the floor about a month earlier because they had family coming in and were updating their GB for them. The same tile was used throughout and I grouted with a platinum color. Looks outstanding! Clients are happy.
