This family needed to create more usable play space on a small budget. A large portion of the existing deck was removed to make room for sod and a small planting bed along the house. Existing sidewalk blocks were cleaned and re-laid for access from their side-entry gate. The addition of softscape material helps their south-facing yard feel cooler, and gives little ones freedom to run barefoot.
