2018 ASID Legacy of Design Award Winner! This master bath is small, but it’s mighty! Originally, it lacked any style and did not reflect the fashionable personalities of either client. Additionally, the shower was too small for the 6’3” client and the toilet was in the sight line of the door. The clients wanted a beautiful and functional space respecting their individual personalities. To achieve this, a small additional square footage was captured from the adjoining closet. The toilet was moved to the opposite wall. This allowed for a wet area with a spacious shower and sculptural tub. One client prefers curves and one prefers straight lines, so all selections were balanced between the two: curves of the mosaic tiles on the back wall in the wet area; the straight lines of the large side wall and floor tiles, the oval sinks with the rectangular custom mirrors. The result is a beautiful and functional space that reflects both clients.
