The project started as a waterwise replacement for a front yard covered with lawn. In addition to providing a usable courtyard space with decomposed granite (DG), the front yard now showcases a dry creek with other drought-tolerant plants surrounding. Though the landscape may seem sparse, the project is designed to be simple and clean, allowing the plant material to fill in over time without becoming a maintenance hassle.
