Soda Rock Residence

This home was designed by architect Nick Lee, designer Cheryl Bernstein and contracting team Eames Construction. This one level, modern barn is located in Alexander Valley's wine country. The project wraps the land in a big hug and capitalizes on the spectacular 360 degree views. Large scale garage doors extend the living space onto the outdoors.

We created this hidden spice rack for a previous client and, because it was so effective, chose to re-create it in this modern kitchen. Countertop is quartz and very easy to slide spice jars out and clean. Island top is 2 1/2" raw sawn walnut.

We used a raw sawn walnut edge for this island countertop to contrast the modern flat panelled cabinetry and stainless steel appliances. Metal stools were selected in a robin's egg coloring to compliment the rooms paint coloring.
