The legs are attached to the top and now I have to cut and level the legs, so it stands flat.

A small Ebony bowtie is added to the top to help stabilize a crack in the wood

A polyurethane finish is applied to the top.

Legs glued into the leg supports.

These leg supports help attach the legs to the top. With the angles I cut into them, the legs will rake and splay properly.

The ebonizing solution reacts with the tannin in the oak legs, turning them black.

I coated the legs with tea, and then applied an ebonizing solution (steel wool and vinegar)

Turned the quarter sawn oak legs on a lathe. 1-3/4" dia. tapered to 1" dia.

Beveled the top to give it a lighter look.
