This retractable awning is to be soffit mounted. This photo helped us Identify the Soffit panel type, make and colour (4 panel Aluminum, Roofmart, Wicker) and to make sure we clear the constriction presented by the fireplace vent.

The soffit nails have been removed and the facia carefully moved forward to access the soffit panels.

The rafter brackets have been installed onto the rafters ensuring correct positioning and alignment. The bracket base has to line up with a trough of the soffit panel.

The retractable awning bracket is now securely bolted to the rafter bracket through the soffit panel. One soffit panel to be replaced and the awning can be attached. There were a total of five awning brackets for this 19ft 4in awning.
