Solana Canyon
The architecture of this unique Mid-century Modern custom home displays large, open spaces, lending to the design concept of connecting the interiors to the ecological preserve where it is tucked away. This young family has a strong desire for sustainable choices, with finishes and architectural details that reflect their way of life.
As the designer for this 4800 sq. ft. Green Point-rated home, KW Designs took on interior aspects including space planning, finishes, light fixtures, custom architectural elements, and furniture. Sourcing eco-friendly materials that fit within the style and budget constraints provided the challenge for this project. Some of the green strategies used were the 100% reclaimed teak flooring throughout, durable surfaces like concrete countertops and patina stainless steel. This eclectic Mid-century interpretation has its own unique charm with re-purposed items for bathrooms and furnishings that are not only environmentally-friendly, but incorporate the personality of the family.
