Stacked Stone Fireplace
These pictures show the before and after of this stacked stone fireplace. I carefully put together a schematic for the built-ins to go along the side of the fireplace. My mission was to marry the crown molding to make an architectural impact around the ceiling line. The ceiling was brought down a bit on both sides to allow the crown to "wrap" the top. It looks amazing. The mantle is a 100 yr old Chestnut barn beam. Tile is Anatolia Silver Ash Travertine. Hearth tile came from Lowe's.
