Stearns Res.

This property is unique in that the front yard is very shady (on the northside and there is a large evergreen) in the front and full sun on the side and back yards. It was next to impossible to grow grass in the front so we designed this low maintenance dry stream bed. It is planted with dwarf evergreens, grasses and groundcovers to soften the boulders.
The side yard is very sloping and the homeowner has a view of it so they wanted something attractive to look at. We set boulders into the slope to help retain the soil and planted with a variety of sun loving shrubs and a Dogwood tree.
The back yard had a narrow and rotting deck off the house with a tiny patch of unhealthy lawn. We designed this larger deck with wide steps in to the yard and onto a Flagstone patio. We tucked a natural style waterfeature in the corner of the yard for sound.
