SteelHouse 1 & 2 is a series of explorations: Maximize the density of urban infill housing in a dense city; Create small, spatially dynamic and efficient spaces; Demonstrate the creative and expressive use of a standard palette of materials and hand-crafted details, all to achieve unique, comfortable and unapologetic modern buildings in an architecturally conservative City. The site is a 25’x100’ lot with two, detached 1,400 sq ft 3 bedroom houses off a shared court.


The project was a DesignBuild project with the architect acting as contractor and developer.
