Stickley Mission Dining
Highlands dining table by Stickley.
The design of this Arts & Crafts style table is influenced by Scottish designer and architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1868 – 1928). Mackintosh, in turn, was influenced by the emerging Japanese styles from the Orient. Mackintosh utilized natural materials in simple forms often with the use of rounded edges.
Mackintosh was a contemporary of Gustav Stickley (1858-1942), who employed designer Harvey Ellis (1852 - 1904), thereby adopting this lighter, more refined approach to design.
