More than twice as hard as oak and extremely stable, our strand woven flooring is made by heating long strips of bamboo, which are pulled apart into strands, woven together, then compressed them under extreme pressure and heat.
This proprietary manufacturing technique produces flooring that is even harder than traditional bamboo flooring. In fact, our natural strand woven flooring tested at 3,944 pounds of force on the Janka Hardness Scale, as measured by an independent laboratory. Because of their hardness, our strand woven bamboo floors are extremely liveable and are family- and pet-friendly. They are great for high-traffic areas.
