Formed Space worked collaboratively with Future Firm to develop Studio 5524 into the multi-use commercial space that it is today. The century-old building located in Chicago’s historic Edgewater was originally a medical office. The building was gut rehabbed leaving only the brick shell and was then fully rebuilt into an artist studio, gallery and office space. The renovation was centered around flexibility and minimalism ensuring the artist had a blank canvas to produce and highlight their work.
