This was a "lipstick and hair" renovation project. The home originally had swamp green cabinetry and green walls, and the flooring was natural cherry. We were called in to change the paint colours since the owners had been living with the green for 15 years and were sick of it. Much to the dismay of the owners, there weren't a any colour palette choices that satisfied them, and still included the green cabinets. So the decision was made, the cabinetry would be replaced, and the project snowballed from there. We put them in touch with one of our trusted colleagues (Scottt Arthur Homes) to help oversee the expanding renovation. New cabinets, countertops, tile, appliances, carpet, re-finish the hardwood, strip and re-finish the railing and stairway, paint throughout, and new lighting fixtures. The home-owners were familiar with our previous work and gave us free reign to develop a space suited to their personality. We assisted and guided them on all design choices seen here. They wanted bold, yet contemporary... the addition of the blue agate countertop and bright blue feature wall gives the home a bit of sassy punch, and the home owners love it!
