This is a beautiful example of how to tie together a kitchen and an eating area into one larger, more beautiful space. Three primary ways this was done were to replace the old linoleum in the kitchen and carpet in the eating area with continuous flooring, to extend the cabinetry from the kitchen into the eating area, and extend the horizontal backsplash tile down the length of the countertop.
