Sunset Hill Edible Garden
Raised steel planters, pots, espaliered fruit trees and trellises maximize every inch of growing space in this Seattle front garden. A mix of evergreen ornamentals and edibles such as cabbage, kale and leaks provide year-round color and interest. Bulbs (crocus, daffodils and alliums) and flowering perennials (echinacea, salvia and geum) provide unexpected pops of color and food for pollinators through spring and summer. A lime green front door and pots contrast with the dark house paint and provide inspiration for the chartreuse plantings.
