Tables of Water

Seeking to engage a relationship between landscape, art and architecture, the design of this 3.5-arce residence extends the walls of the house outside, creating rooms, framing views and making space for sculpture. Tables of water are carried through the site, at first only seen and finally touchable. Two less formal gardens break down the geometry established by the evergreen hedges and bosques. The Garden of the Wilds is filled with palms and tropical plants. Night blooming plants and perennials are in the Garden of Respite, offering a quiet place to wander, especially in the evening.

Works by Richard Serra, James Turrell, Dale Chihuly, and Mark Di Suvero are a few of the art pieces featured on site.
