an existing single story home in the mountains. the clients wanted to add a second story so that they would have a view of Lake Tahoe and add more bedrooms for their family. macaulay +architects came to the site and we all climbed on the roof to see the view. from that point on the clients knew that the existing house would never meet their expectations. macaulay+architects exceeded them when the house was completed. the before and after photos are dramatic.
