Nomad location was recently named best Italian Restaurant in NYC by Gambero Rosso, FCD was tasked to work with an existing brand and several existing locations through the city. Nomad location took over a raw space in glass residential tower and had initially been zoned for retail. The usage needs to be changed to a restaurant with the help of the landlord and the expeditor client was able to change the usage. Working with the client and listening to what the core values of the brand were we were able to come up with a solution that spoke to the brand and also integrated the glass tower that house this location. We created the bar to be the focal point as the client had a heavy wine list and wanted to be able to host after-work crowed with ease along with early morning crowed for traditional Italian espresso before work.
