The existing bedroom, hallway, and small bathroom were converted into a an open concept bedroom and large accessible bathroom. The new bathroom doorway was constructed to be a 48" doorway with a barn door.

Walk-in Shower was built with a 42" opening. A large built in bench was installed to provide supportive seating for the homeowner to use while showering.

The Walk-in Shower had a "tucked" shower curtain that could be drawn out of the line of sight while the shower was not in use. Grab bars were installed throughout the shower to provide balance support.

One hand held shower head was installed with two mounting options; one for standing and one for sitting.

An accessible vanity was installed that provided knee clearance under it to allow for the vanity and sink to be used from a seated position. Open shelving was installed to conceal a pipe that was not able to be moved along with providing much needed storage.

New tile was installed through the remodeled bathroom. A comfort height elongated toilet was installed and a grab bar was placed next to the toilet to aid in transferring on and off.

The laundry room was moved to be part of the main bathroom to provide convenience and ease of use.

The laundry room was moved to be part of the main bathroom to provide convenience and ease of use. When the bathroom barn door is left open, it covers the laundry area.
