The Completed Home Renovation

Our 1927 Mediterranean Bungalow has been updated to the 21st Century. We removed walls, repurposed rooms, and made the house feel more open.

We opened two bedrooms to one large room, leaving a floating wall to define the two spaces. We use one side as our sleeping room, the other as our lounge room. The kitchen footprint remained the same, however we opened walls to incorporate it into the flow of the house, and replicated the original cabinets

We removed several walls in what had been a long narrow hallway leading to the bedrooms. By doing so we were able to create a large central space with the rooms of the house radiating off of it. We wanted to be able to have line of sight from one room to the next. The house now feels much larger than its 1470 square feet.

We love our backyard, however the only way to reach it was through one of the back bedrooms. We opened up a central bedroom with French Doors to the hallway, and French Doors to a new side deck. Now guest can reach the backyard via the new decl and side yard.
