The Highway 59 Cabin

This new cabin was reconstructed using the remaining logs and original brick foundation from what was once the oldest standing structure in Charlotte County, Virginia — originally granted by the King of England in 1745. The preserved foundation now forms a new cellar with switch-back stairs connecting the first and second levels.

Seven front-facing dormer windows bring light into the upper floor, while a covered side porch with an outdoor wood-burning fireplace offers a timeless gathering space rooted in the cabin’s storied past.
