The Laboratory
EVOLUTION OF THE LABORATORY
Twenty years ago owner Dave Allen gathered highly ornamented carved wood, stone and weathered Victorian urns. Forays to Europe resulted in a strong interest in Belgian antiques and Belgian modern design, followed by Dutch and Belgian floral design. Explorations in Asia resulted in the organic forms such as the vines and massive natural teak tree trunks he still brings from Indonesia. The journey then led back to stone… simple forms from the most elemental materials. Images below are from the showroom over the last 15 years in Sonoma.
