Along opposite walls of the drawing room are two sofas. This one here is a 7′ long three-seater, the other was a bit longer at 9′. Fully upholstered, the detail is in the leg supports which were designed to be low and wide with a steel trim along the bottom edge.

For the family lounge, we chose a low centre table where the kids could gather round to work on their school projects. Constructed in teak wood, for additional design details, we veneered the top in alternating horizontal and vertical squares of African walnut with centred leg posts on each side.

Since the client was an avid reader, we designed the bookcase to serve as a storage and filing cabinet for office documents while at the same time providing open shelves for books. Veneered in beech and white oak.

Straight, clean lines are evident in this 8′ long sideboard, down to the distinctive partitions that extend to the floor as supports. With two double-door and two single-door cubicles storage is not a problem with this piece.

In the living room, a cane-backed sofa was chosen for it’s informal yet comfortable style. At over 8′ in length, it can also serve as an end table.

At just 11½ in. height, excluding seat cushion, the living room sofa is the perfect complement to the low centre table.

The 7′ dining table was constructed in Burma teak and teak veneer, it's straight lines a perfect contrast to the gentle curves of the chairs.

For detail in the dining table we used a brushed stainless steel band at the four corners.

The dining chairs were chosen for their elegant design and curve of their back support. As is the case with all new chair designs we do, we constructed a prototype first to check proportions and comfort before embarking upon the final piece.

In keeping with the contemporary look, we went with the straight, clean lines and cut of the reclining backrest for a pair of lounge chairs in the living room. Shown here without their cushions.

For a piece that would go below wall art, we chose to do a low table with gold edging around the top finished in black lacquer.
