The Logan Building
With clean architectural lines and detailing, the revitalization concept for the Logan building seeks to compliment the original 1929 Sorey-Vahlberg design. Every effort is made to separate the new interior walls and improvements from the original shell. The result is an elegant balance between the deeply tactile historic brick, wood windows, and ornamental stone of the original architecture, and the crisp, precisely detailed improvements. The rehabilitation work of transforming the existing structure into an exuberant set of residences is deliberate and sensible. The reuse of this notable existing structure is inherently sustainable, and its close proximity to the University of Oklahoma campus encourages walking.
