Two apartments are being combined to create a 3-bedroom 2-bath on the ground floor of a building in Greenwich Village.
The existing apartment includes small and dark spaces creating inefficient circulation and lacking a sense of place
Project design intent:
To create a seamless flow between the two apartments, and a sense of openness across the newly created apartment, with bright and energized spaces. The kitchen space will be relocated and open to the living space. A curved wall will fuse the link between the two apartments and define the new connecting “bridge” into the kitchen with a wood screen wall.
