The Ulitmate Row House Renovation

This project was a row house in Canton that had been unoccupied for some time. The kitchen and bathrooms were outdated and not functional. We redesigned the complete layout of the first and second floor and gutted most of the house. During this process we also replaced the complete roof structure and designed the new roof to support a roof top deck, which was added to the home shortly after the renovation was complete. This project also went through a complete lead abatement process. A challenge with the existing condition of the home was the previous owners had attempted to dig a basement and in doing so undermined the existing foundation. We had to underpin three of the existing wall foundations to make this correction. The current homeowner liked the character of the exposed brick in the home and wanted to keep some of it in the house. Repairs were made to the brick and in the end added a unique element to the home. The stone on the exterior of the home was removed to expose the original brick which was cleaned and repaired to its original appearance. This beautiful remodel was a green certified project to the OCC 700 National Green Building Standard.
