Toluca Lake

This home got a complete exterior refresher. You can see the one "Before" photo to appreciate the transition. New paint colors. New front porch. Front porch railing repurposed. New driveway, outdoor kitchen, fire pit area, rubber play area, vegetable garden area.

Toluca Lake

This is the "BEFORE" front porch. Crumbling porch and too-steep risers on the steps. Check out the "After" photos. Turf lawn removed and all new landscaping installed. California friendly, with an emphasis on Australians and edibles. Rainwater redirected into creek bed and retention areas.

Front yard is alive with color, as well as a variety of fruit trees, like these two Cherry trees near the creek bed. Infiltration of rooftop water into the creek bed allows the trees to drink up that extra water when it rains

Children's play area, with poured in place rubber surface. New fence, alternating friendly and unfriendly. Took advantage of the unfriendly sections to add a blackboard and mesh panels on the other ones to grow vines. Lively color palette on the house echoes the owner's style and flair.

This large 'urban farm' area has 4 separate beds, with separate shut off valves for the irrigation to each bed. Plenty of room along the fence to store tools, lighting for when you are picking your salad greens for dinner in winter. Mesh fence keeps owner's small dog outside.
