Empty-nesters John and Suzanne recently moved here from Montana after Suzanne took a job at Deaconess Hospital. A friend tipped them off to a house that had just come up for sale for the first time just a driveway down their country road. A doctor and his wife built the home themselves in 1970 and then raised their three boys in their custom designed and tailored home nestled serenely on their 25 wooded acres. The elderly couple, still active and alert, hated leaving their beloved homestead but needed to move onto something smaller and closer in.
As they toured the home with their realtor, John and Suzanne fell in love with the setting. The home is placed in a small draw that is part of a large wooded draw on the west flank of Mt. Antoine. At the end of a long driveway which itself is at the end of the road. the location is as secluded and serene as it gets. No cars, no noise.
Quiet and beautiful seclusion close to the Valley and the Northside is what sold John and Suzanne on the home. That and a fair price they felt gave them room to completely update and remodel the entire house to fit their lives in today's world.
