This house and garden were developed over the site of an old pond, the house had to have piling over 57ft deep!
The client wanted a garden they could enjoy, so we based the design around a path all around the garden, developing focal points along the way.
The terrace and raised patio were specifically designed to enable large parties without having huge numbers of extra chairs, as guests could use the wider brick wall capping as a seat. The BBQ is hidden within the round table. The adjoining Koi pond and its specialized filters are hidden from sight behind the wall. The artificial well, holds a water storage tank for the irrigation system - water that drains from the garden first is stored here before being pumped to the main irrigation storage tank which is again hidden from view in another part of the garden.
