Transitional Kitchen
There aren't many before pictures of this kitchen. Unfortunately for these fabulous folks, their ceiling caved in. The subject line of the first message was "the ceiling is falling" and it literally did. We had finished the basement for these great customers and now friends a few years ago. And we wanted to build them a fabulous kitchen. But on their time, not the ceiling's time! Regardless of why, they now have a very functional, gorgeous space. And, a dishwasher! It is a small kitchen so we managed to reclaim some space by the fridge by getting rid of a linen closet that opened into the hallway. We opened that space up into the kitchen and added a pantry. They also were able to have a small coffee area that they really wanted! A super susan made their previously useless base corner into great usable space. And a lazy susan in the upper corner cabinet helps to access everything! Drawers, a pantry, a small cabinet for cookie sheets and cutting boards, a vent hood that vents out, all went together to create a bright, functional and beautiful space for this two wonderful people!
