This was a full-gut renovation of nearly 6000 SF of space on a prominent lakefront point on Lake Champlain for a family looking to reestablish their long-time Vermont roots. Red House worked with the clients and the design team which included designers from Arizona, Minnesota, and Vermont to create a very comfortable, fresh and bright home with traditional and modern transitional features. The proximity to the waterfront and existing building parameters created for challenging design and construction, ultimately yielding both open and intimate living spaces with spectacular views. The house is replete with custom craftsmanship featured in the cabinetry, stonework, tile, metal and glass. Guest spaces are private, fully featured and offer spectacular view across to the Adirondacks and north up the broad lake. The lakefront deck with large custom fire pit offers up unparalleled sunset experiences.
