The original kitchen was overrun with cabinets, so creating space while preserving storage was critical. Reusing the existing flooring, we began by removing an entire wall of cabinets along with the L-shaped kitchen to create a transitional, modern look for this custom Chula Vista home.

Our client is a wonderful baker and chose a clean, quartz countertop to compliment her Thermador double oven.

A true European kitchen is only two walls - an appliance wall opposite an island. We created a better connection to the outdoor patio by updating the entranceway with a sliding glass doors. We were able to reuse the existing light fixture to create a unique look and highlight the custom walnut table attached to the island. We created a floated backwall look by running tile above the cabinets. We also incorporated an appliance garage which hides the coffee maker and blender.
