The homeowners of this older New England Colonial wanted to redesign their kitchen fit for a more open floor plan while also expanding the storage space. Dowd & Sons, a local contractor, worked with us to accommodate a new layout by removing the laundry room & some unnecessary wall space. Something as simple as swapping the laundry room with the kitchen made a big difference! The homeowners wanted to keep the character of the vintage colonial while also adding a splash of color to fit their up-to-date renovations and style preference. We decided together on a slate blue base for the cabinetry, which looked great with the hardwood flooring, and contrasted the darker bottom with a bright cream upper cabinet design.
