Problem: Two story Great Room that had glare from the large windows and inadequate lighting throughout the rest of the room. Acoustical problems that caused echoing from the lack of textiles in the room.
Solution: Ambient lighting was added to give a nice overall light to the room in the evening as well as accent lighting in the alcoves to highlight the cabinetry and accessories. Motorized shades were added to reduce the glare and give a soft privacy to the space but allow my client to still enjoy the pastoral view. Custom window treatments to add beauty without being heavy to the window area kept the room light and airy but created a second focal point. These panels along with the shades drastically reduced the echoing in the room as well as the electric bill!
