Clients are a lovely couple living in a three bedroom apartment in East Melbourne with Art Deco touches. The brief included an enhancement of the Art Deco style, bringing more light and life into the spaces and making the entire apartment more practical and beautiful.
The clients moved out all of their belongings and rented nearby for a number of months whilst this took place; as every room was gutted, from the flooring up.

The new parquetry floor was the first to be installed, with a beautiful Oak laid in a Herringbone pattern throughout, replacing the dark green marble tiles and 60's Vic Ash square pattern, for a more sophisticated palate on which to build the new style.
The client's own flair and penchant for Florence Broadhurst influenced the outcome, especially in the Master Bedroom, with some stunning results.
The Entry is now unrecognisable; going from an enclosed wardrobe-like hall closet to a bespoke fitted buffet and custom wall mirror pattern with side wall sconce lighting and a red marble atop painted finish panelled doors with wrought iron hardware.
I have no doubt they have substantially increased the value of their home and the new liveability is priceless.
