Upper East Side Duplex

This project was a gut renovation of a first floor and garden level duplex on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. AKID was tasked with updating all of the finishes, remodeling the kitchen and 2.5 baths and selecting decorative light fixtures throughout. It was essential that we create a bright, light-filled space (even where we had no natural light and low ceilings) and keep the decor classic, elegant and timeless. We chose a mix of high and low for all areas with a focus on quality and durability. We wanted the apartment to stand out from the crowd in a hot market and feel luxurious without breaking our client's budget.
