Uptown Update
I had so much fun working on this living room/bedroom project in my client's one bedroom apartment! The project was two part as I designed, and installed, their living room space and their bedroom space.
This client wanted to bring in bright, bold colors in the living area, and have a more tranquil feel in the bedroom. To help establish that vibe, I chose these bold velvet green curtains. I'll have to admit, when I first put these on the design board, I was a bit skeptical and a little concerned that my client wouldn't approve. As you can see, I got the green light!
This client's personal style is a little on the tribal/bohemian side, so I tried to keep that in mind by adding lots of texture, pattern, and lighter wood tones within this contemporary design.
I also had the privilege of creating an abstract triptych to hang above the sofa. I wanted to incorporate simplicity and heavy textures with these pieces, which I accomplished by applying several layers of various media. They complement the rest of the design perfectly.
