In this project we attempted to change the perception of the way people view their office space. Previously firms looked for ways to pack more desks on to floors, however we had a vision to transform the office into an inspiring and enjoyable place to work by creating the ultimate ‘collaborative office’ space to stimulate inspirational thinking. Our research found that the ‘well-being’ of staff in an office has a significant affect to the productivity of a company. With this in mind we infused numerous elements touching on the work/life balance into our conceptual design, breaking down perceptions that the employee should be assigned to a specific desk rather to enjoy greater efficiency and increased productivity through interaction and knowledge sharing.
