Oh how refreshing this soft orange kitchen eating area is! The soft swags of this Bordeaux valance are just right for the mood of this casual area. We decided to mount the valance on the wall in front of the bay area to add height to the room. Gives a much grander look.

For this traditional home, we fabricated box pleated valances. Contrast banding was added a couple of inches up from the hemline to add a nice pop of color. For the taller windows, we added cascades on the sides. Well Dressed Windows, Solon, Ohio

This style of valance is called an Imperial valance. We elongated the cascades on the side to be in proportion to the height of the windows. Side panels were added on the outside corners of the bay to give this a more finished look. Note the bed canopy on the right that mimics the drapery valances....
