Near the end of construction, this home is located in a subdivision with strict design covenants, particularly with respect to roof pitches. It resists the prevailing mountain vernacular of heavy timber trusses, columns and accents. Its forms are simple and honest. A natural exterior material palate familiar to the area is used to fit into the surrounding architecture. However, we reinterpreted the way those materials are traditionally applied.
