The home owner wanted a very drought tolerant California native plant garden. It gets quite a bit of shade and wind, so the plant choices were driven by these factors, the photos are taken about 6 months after planting was completed.

A close up of the pathway, made with decomposed granite and flagstone, it is permeable to rain. The dry creek bed captures run off from the roof and is planted with CA native plants.

These California native trees, are fast growing and evergreen, they will screen out the neighbors quickly.
