This home in Dana Point underwent an extensive remodel; removing a loft that had extended over the living room which enhanced the light and volume in the first floor. Additionally, a wall was removed in the kitchen and the ceiling needed to have a large support beam added; which became a showcased feature above the second island in the kitchen. The coat closet became the beginnings of a large pantry and the closet moved to a space under the stairs.
The entry ceiling was extremely low (not even 8') and the center of the ceiling was popped up to create more space.
The powder room ceiling was very low, too, and the design incorporated having the ceiling rake up to match the vaulted rise of the roof line. The entire back wall of the bathroom was tiled to add more decorative customization.
All of the bathrooms were remodeled with custom cabinetry, tile, plumbing and fixtures, new countertops, mirrors and lighting.
