The goal was to make the owners of this Victorian Flat fit their young family's lifestyle. The primary focus was creating a modern kitchen, which was key since kitchens were not a main feature of Victorian homes. We completely opened up the space and made functional improvements with modern amenities. We worked with Chambers Art & Design to create a kitchen island that could accommodate more guests and maximize space by transitioning into a telescopic, expandable dining table. We retained the original moldings and selected a tile shape that pays tribute to the Victorian Era. The new space feels fresh, bright, and contemporary while staying true to the history of building.
