Our client contacted us with a warehouse space that they were looking to rent to a new tenant. The existing floor was badly delaminated and did not look good. In addition, the delamination of the epoxy had allowed for the slab itself to become eroded in a number of places. Our engineers specified total removal of the existing epoxy, a concrete remediation project and a more robust epoxy flooring system.

Our first phase began with sounding out the existing floor and removing the old coating via diamond grinder. We then manually removed all loose debris and began to rebuild the slab. For this process, we used TPM 711, an engineered concrete. After diamond grinding the surface again to create a smooth profile and ensure a proper bong, we installed our new flooring system.

To install the final floor, we began by priming the entire surface with a durable epoxy primer (GP 3579). We then re-inspected for any blemishes or defects and finished by applying another epoxy coating, which would seal the floor and achieve the long lifespan that the client was after.

The entire project was completed in two days, allowing our client to get his warehouse space on the rental market immediately.
