I had the pleasure of working on a lower level for a wonderful family right outside of Washington DC. in Northern Virginia. This client wanted a space to sit down, relax, entertain, and unwind. They have a love for sports that we wanted to be present in the space. The space is adorned with collectors baseball cards, baseball bats, stadium seats, and signed sports memorabilia throughout. In the design I included rich mahogany wall paneling below a ledge that surrounded the perimeter of the room. To visually seperate the space a wood ceiling beam was dropped down over the bar area. Three different types of flooring were used to create a visual break to the open area. Lush upholstered walls in the media area helped to warm the space and give it a cozy feel.
