We took out all the old plants and sod then added a natural flagstone patio with an arbor for shade. On the side of the house we removed the cement walkway and replaced with a flagstone walkway with a ledge stone border. Then we planted the appropriate plants to each bed depending on whether the bed had sun, shade or both. In the front we removed the old shrubs and a stack stone bed was built around the trees.
