The New England forest surrounding this mid-century home set the tone for the landscape design. The project included siting a new curb cut, realigning a new entry drive, screening views and designing informal gardens both adjacent to and surrounding the home. In an effort to provide a low maintenance and site appropriate design, a native woodland planting palette was developed that included dogwood, rhododendron, mountain laurel and hemlock. A carpet of spring flowering groundcovers extend the forest floor to meet a new formal lawn providing seasonal interest.
