This formal living room sits in a hundred year old house along the Main Line. When these clients came to me, this expansive space was dark, uninviting and the spacial layout was not utilized to its fullest extent. So my mission became to brighten and enhance the room with fresh, soft colors and fabrics, a delicate sofa, bright pillows and glass accessories. The design was not only focused on downplaying the darker Persian rug, but bringing out its intricate array of corals, sea foams and yellows. In the end, the softness and character of the antiques, artwork and furniture are now all married together in a harmonious balance.
